ILLINOIS (RFD) — There is a new acting head of the Illinois Air National Guard. Governor JB Pritzker named Peter Nezamis to the post. He’s being promoted to Brigadier General. He will oversee the nearly 3000 air guard members and staff that serve at Illinois’ three bases. He says things should be staying the same for now.

Nezamis once served at Scott Air Force base where he commanded the Guard’s 126th Air Refueling Wing.
