ILLINOIS — Hunters in Illinois harvested a preliminary total of 151,577 deer during all 2018-19 archery and firearm seasons, which concluded on Jan. 20.

The total preliminary deer harvest for all seasons compares with a total harvest for all seasons of 147,695 deer in 2017-18.

During the 2018-19 deer seasons, hunters took 45 percent does and 55 percent males.

In Clinton County hunters harvested 1,247 deer up from 1,119 from 2017 to 2018.

In Fayette County they brought in 2,558 compared to 2,377 the previous year.

In Jefferson County hunters brought in 3,548 deer down from 3,642, while in Marion County they harvested 2,883, up from 2,798 and Washington County hunters brought in 1,594, compared 1,586 the previous year.
