MARION COUNTY — A 44-year-old Centralia man is in the Marion County Jail for allegedly stabbing another man early Saturday morning outside a Centralia bar.

Allen Branch was arrested for alleged aggravated battery with a weapon for reportedly slashing 21-year-old Travis Guidish, of Kell, across the chest during an altercation outside Skipper’s Inn on South Locust Street in Centralia.

Guidish reportedly wasn’t aware he had been stabbed during the altercation until friends later told him. He was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.

The two men had reportedly had a disagreement earlier at a different bar that continued inside Skipper’s Inn.

As the disagreement flared, the two went outside around 2 a.m. where a fist fight and the stabbing reportedly occurred.
