JEFFERSON COUNTY — The University of Illinois Extension will host a fruit and vegetable school February 8th in the Double Tree Hotel. Chris Lueking with the UofI Extension says there will be three session tracks offered.
The early registration deadline is Feb. 1.
Registration starts the day of the event at 7:30am for all three tracks. Topics include pest and disease management, trends, variety trials and food safety modernization inspection readiness, which will hit multiple demographics, says Lueking.
The advance registration fee is $40 per farm with walk-in registration costing $50.
