BLUFORD — Some students at Webber Township High School are getting college credit while in high school thanks to dual-credit courses. First year Bluford Schools Superintendent Shane Gordon says one of his goals is to continue to expand dual credit offerings in the district.

Gordon, who was a building principal before coming to Bluford, says he had students in his former district receive their college degree before they received their high school diploma because of dual-credit courses.

Gordon says dual-credit courses that come at no cost to students is just one way a local school district can help combat the growing student loan crisis across the country.
