WHITE COUNTY — White County Sheriff Doug Maier says his office received a call around 8:20 a.m. Saturday from a motorist reporting a body on the ground next to a vehicle at the interstate westbound on-ramp in Grayville.

Maier says his deputies arrived and observed a pickup truck parked along the on-ramp and a male subject with a gunshot wound to the head was laying on the ground on the passenger side of the vehicle.

That person has been identified as 60-year-old Glen H. Norris of Deputy, IN and he was declared dead at the scene of an apparent suicide.

While removing the body, a handgun was located underneath the body.

The investigation is ongoing.
