MT. VERNON — Mt. Vernon police responded just before 5 p.m. Monday to the Fifth Third bank at 2711 Broadway on reports of a bank robbery.

Initial dispatch reports indicated a white male had robbed the bank and fled on foot in a southeast direction.

The suspect is described as wearing a black hat, camouflage coat, white tee shirt, and blue jeans.

No one was injured during the incident.
