Joyce Kramm, 49, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 12:50 A.M.January 14, 2019 at her residence in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born January 24, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Donald R. and Marilyn (Adams) Sendelbach. She married Doug Kramm on August 2, 1996 and he survives in Mount Vernon.
In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her mother, Marilyn Sendelbach and companion, Dale Martin, Sr. of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Ariel Blake and husband, Tim of Montgomery, Texas; stepchildren, Amanda Anderson and husband, Dan of West City, Illinois and Jason Kramm of Georgia; six grandchildren, Austin, Felicity, Madilyn “Peachie”, Xavier, Khloie, and Harleigh; grandmother, Geraldine Wilson of Mount Vernon, Illinois;siblings, Vickie Hiatt and husband, Doug of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Diane Scherer and husband, Roger of Austin, Texas, Sandra Sendelbach-Portney and Stacy of Maryville, Illinois, and Michael Sendelbach and wife, April of Chillicothe, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, and grandfathers, Alvin Adams and Glenn H. “Mutt” Wilson.
Joyce worked as a cosmetologist in Illinois, Arizona, and Florida. She was a great supporter, friend, and personal confidante. She always told the best stories – the best were the ones in which she was being ornery. She was very competitive, winning basically everything she put her mind to. Most importantly, she was a dedicated daughter, loyal sister, great friend, devoted wife, an astonishing mom, and an even more amazing Mawmaw. She was deeply loved and known by many as “Mama Joyce”. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 P.M. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7:30 P.M.Memorials in loving memory of Joyce Kramm may be made to SSM Health at Home Hospice or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
