SPRINGFIELD (RFD) — As JB Pritzker comes into office he’ll have a bill or two to sign that follows some of his early wishes. Lawmakers approved a bill that vacates the Illinois Tollway Board. Pritzker will then be able to reappoint the board himself. The other makes it possible to pay cabinet members and agency directors more than $150,000 a year, Senate President John Cullerton says that needed to stay competitive in recruiting top talent to those positions.
Those bills should be among the first to be signed by Pritzker when he takes office.
