WILLIAMSON COUNTY — A Meredosia, Illinois resident was sentenced in Williamson County Court Tuesday to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for a January 2018 burglary.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says 21-year-old Braylen Rodriguez committed the burglary – a Class 2 felony – on Jan. 9, 2018 to a vehicle parked at the Econolodge Motel parking lot in Marion. Rodriguez was placed in the First Offender Initiative Program in April of 2018, but failed to meet the terms of the program and was subsequently sentenced for the burglary.

Rodriguez will be under one year of mandatory supervised release following his release from DOC.
