CENTRALIA — Centralia police now have a suspect in the Tuesday night shooting of a 28-year-old St. Louis man in the 700 block of Rasback Street and they’re asking the public for help in locating the man.

According to Centralia Police Chief Brian Atchison, 32-year-old Bart N. Brown has been identified as a suspect in the incident. Brown is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him but contact 9-1-1 immediately. If you have general information about the location of Bart Brown, please call the Centralia Police Department at 533-7602.

Brown is wanted in connection with the Tuesday night shooting of a 28-year-old St. Louis man. Reports indicate the victim called 9-1-1 just before 6 p.m. Tuesday night reporting he had been shot in the left shoulder with a shotgun and that he was in an alley in the 700 block of East Rasback Street.

In addition to Centralia police, Centralia Fire and Lifestar Ambulance responded to the scene. The victim was initially transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia but was later transferred to a St. Louis area hospital for treatment.
