CENTRALIA — Here’s a positive story that came out of a bad situation: we’re being told that a local pizza delivery driver in Centralia came to the aid of a family late Tuesday night when he noticed their Holiday Terrace home was on fire.

Billy Hunt was delivering pizzas for Domino’s just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night. Hunt is being credited for not only calling in the fire but also for stopping to help a family injured in the fire until first responders arrived.

The woman, her husband, and their grandson were all taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of possible smoke inhalation.

The woman was also treated for a head injury she reportedly suffered when she fell while escaping the home.
