Philip E. Watts, 63, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away on December 16, 2018 in Ohio. He was born August 18, 1955 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Billy C. Watts and Ruby (Fryar) Watts.

Philip is survived by his two sisters, Diana Gonzales of Chicago, Illinois and Barbara Justice of Mount Vernon, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Ricky Gonzales and fiancé, Jaime Tibbs of Breese, Illinois, Mario Gonzales of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Teresa I. Gonzales and husband, Dr. Wilson Valentin of Florence, Massachusetts, Angela Cerrillos and Rick Rodriguez of Evergreen Park, Illinois, Vincent Justice of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Veronica Justice of Benton, Illinois; and several grand nieces, grand nephews, and cousins.

Philip served the United States Navy for twenty years. He also worked as an over road truck driver. Philip will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Hughey Funeral Home with Mr. Marty Mills officiating.  Interment will follow with full military rites by Chaplain Ernie Collins at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Philip’s honor to the American Heart Association.
