MARION COUNTY — A 77-year-old rural Salem man is in the Marion County Jail following his arrest Thursday for allegedly shooting his grandson.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Stacy Dean Milburn allegedly fired approximately six shots at his 19-year-old grandson Devon Milburn, outside his home on Scout Road.

The grandson was struck by three of the six shots, one in his neck, one in the abdomen, and another to his arm. None are believed to be life-threatening.

Devon Milburn was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment and was later transported by ambulance to a St. Louis area hospital.

The two had reportedly had an argument before the alleged shooting incident about the grandfather not wanting the grandson to take his truck.

Stacy Milburn was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged aggravated battery with a firearm.
