Anna Louise (Meyer) Crawford, 95, of Boyd, passed away early Monday morning, December 17, 2018, at her home.

She was born November 30, 1923, in Haines Township, Marion County, Illinois, the daughter of January Jesse and Alfa (Frost) Meyer.  On May 24, 1941, in Marion County, she married Wilson E. “Shorty” Crawford, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1988.

She went to Telford School, and was a cook at Austin’s Restaurant for more than thirty years.  She was a member of Dix Christian Church, and attended Boyd Christian Church.

Mrs. Crawford is survived by three sons, Chris Crawford of Boyd, Jim Crawford of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and Tim Crawford and friend Jane Callahan of Mt. Carmel, Illinois;  two daughters, Viola Patton of Boyd, and Tena Lopez and husband Dan of Holland, Indiana;  Ten grandchildren;  Eighteen great-grandchildren;  Two great-great-grandchildren;  One brother, Joe Meyer of Groveport, Ohio; One sister, Bea Lambert of Salem; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Wilson “Shorty” Crawford, she was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Crawford; one grandchild, James Wilson Crawford;  three brothers;  and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crawford will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, with Jonathan Schnautz officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Centralia.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or another organization of the donor’s choice, and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O.
