MARION COUNTY — Bail has been set at $25,000 for a 53-year-old rural Kell man charged Monday in Marion County Court with domestic battery and aggravated battery to a police officer following an incident at his home where his wife was reportedly knocked off the front porch and struck with a chair.

Frank Goff reportedly was found hiding in the back of his pickup that was stuck in the mud near the home on Carter Road.

Deputies had to tazer Goff twice after he allegedly swung at an officer while they were attempting to arrest him, but the two strikes reportedly had little effect on Goff.

A sheriff’s deputy reportedly had to seek medical treatment as a result of a shoulder injury that occurred during the arrest process.
