BENTON — On Monday, the Benton Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests:

On November 21^st, 2018 at approximately 2:10 a.m., Benton Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Highland Street in reference to  a disturbance. Upon investigating, police arrested Randy L. Carter, age 50, of Benton for aggravated assault, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, aggravated delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of weapon by felon. Carter was charged and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On November 21^st, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Benton Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West Church Street in reference to a disorderly female subject. Upon investigating, police arrested Jessica L. Halterman, age 35, of Christopher, IL for aggravated battery. Halterman was charged and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On November 22nd, 2018 at approximately 12:50 a.m., Benton Police were dispatched to the 300 block of North Madison Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigating, police arrested Joanna L. Akin, age 37, of Benton for domestic battery. Akin was charged and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On November 23^rd, 2018 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Benton Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Virginia Street in reference to a criminal trespass complaint. Upon investigating, police arrested Jennifer R. Shelton, age 29, of West City, IL for criminal trespass to real property. Shelton was charged and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On November 24^th, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Benton Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East Ruth Street in reference to an intoxicated male subject. Upon investigating, police arrested Richard A. Fitzpatrick, age 45, of Benton for aggravated assault. Fitzpatrick was charged and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.

On November 24^th, 2018 at approximately 6:40 p.m., Benton Police arrested Dustin R. Swain, age 24, of Benton on an active Franklin County warrant for failure to appear. Swain was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
