WAYNE COUNTY — An investigation by the Wayne County Drug Task Force led to a search of a Fairfield residence and the arrest of a 20-year-old Fairfield man on parole.

Jacob Chrtt was arrested during that search after officers reportedly found him in possession of approximately 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 40 grams of suspected cannabis, digital scales, a handgun, ammunition and $395 in cash.

As the investigation continued two other handguns were located at a second location that had been linked to Chrtt.

Chrtt, who was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections at the time of his arrest, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful use of weapon by a felon, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition by a felon and was served an Illinois Department of Corrections Parole Warrant.

Chrtt has since been returned to the Illinois Department of Corrections on the parole warrant.
