Jury returns guilty verdict on child pornography case

MT. VERNON — A Jefferson County jury returned a guilty verdict Wednesday in the case of a 31-year-old Mt. Vernon man accused of reproducing child pornography.

Nathan R. Hall was convicted of Class X felony reproducing pornography of a child under the age of 13. He’s been held in the Jefferson County Jail since his July arrest with bail set at $100,000. That bail setting was revoked following Wednesday’s guilty verdict.

Hall was found guilty of possessing, reproducing, and sharing or offering to share a video on or about

June 17, that depicted a female child under the age of 13 engaging in a sex act.

A Class X felony is punishable by between 6 and 30 years without factors of aggravation. He will remain in jail until sentencing, which is currently scheduled for December 13 following the completion of a pre-sentencing investigation.
