JOHNSTON CITY — A Johnston City woman will spend the next four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for forgery.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says 28-year-old Sherri Dwyer recently pled guilty to four counts of forgery – all Class 3 felonies – for forging checks to Casey’s General Stores in Johnston City and Herrin on Feb 8 through the 12 of the year.

Zanotti says Dwyer has a criminal history, including prior convictions for meth possession out of Marion and Alexander counties.

The Johnston City, Herrin and Energy police departments handled the investigation.
