HARRISBURG — Rides Mass Transit District will be providing transportation to the polls for the Illinois general election on Tuesday, Nov. 6 to all residents of the RMTD service area.

Individuals will be able to ride to the polls on regular existing routes throughout their respective county on Election Day at no cost to them.

“We’re pleased to be able to provide this service to the communities we serve,” said RMTD operations manager Adam Lach. “Being able to transport individuals across the area is something we take pride in each day. We take several people to work, medical appointments and to run errands. Being able to get them to their local polling place is another service we’re happy to provide.”

Those requesting transportation may contact 844-220-1243 to schedule transportation. RMTD is the largest rural public transit district in Illinois and transports more than 718,000 people annually. To learn more, visit ridesmtd.com.
