CLAY COUNTY — Five people are in the Clay County Jail after a joint narcotics operation led to their arrests earlier this week.

According to the Flora Police Department, around 7 p.m. Monday, they conducted a joint narcotics operation with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the assistance of the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force and the Clay Co States Attorney’s Office.

FPD Officers and CCSO Deputies executed narcotic search warrants simultaneously in Flora at two different locations. The search warrants were obtained after an extensive investigation into the sale, delivery and possession of methamphetamine.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Shawn Webb, of Flora for alleged Unlawful Deivery of Methamphetamine and Obstruction of Justice;25-year-old Dayne Harrison, of Cisne for alleged Possession of a Firearm by a felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and on three outstanding arrest warrants from other Illinois counties.

Also arrested was 37-year-old Justin Schofield, of Flora, for alleged Possession with intent to Deliver Methamphetamine and Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, 40-year-old Brian Louis-Jacques, of Fort Mohave AZ for alleged Possession of Methamphetamine; and 24-year-old Elijah McKnelly, of Flora for alleged Possession of Methamphetamine.
