WEST FRANKFORT — The West Frankfort City Council is set to approve an ordinance declaring police squad cars no longer necessary for use by the city be donated to Franklin County Emergency Management when it meets Tuesday night at 6 at City Hall.

The council will hold a public meeting at 5:30 regarding a CDBG Grant Application and approve a resolution of support regarding the application in regular session.

Council members will also look at approving a resolution of support regarding an application to the Illinois Housing Development Authority for a housing rehabilitation grant and discuss with possible action an estimate for three custom LED signs for the West Frankfort Mall entrances in the amount of $9,945.81.

The council is expected to give approval to the VFW for its annual Poppy Sale Roadblock on Friday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 10 at the intersection of Route 149 and 37 and to ABATE-Franklin County for its annual fundraiser roadblock on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the intersection of Route 149 and 37.
