ILLINOIS (RFD) – The sports betting landscape changed this year when the Supreme Court struck down a law that allowed wide spread gaming on games only in Las Vegas. So when might sports betting parlors or sports books come to Illinois? It’s coming but lawmakers are rushing towards it.
Democrat State Rep. Lou Lang says he has a bill that is being worked on to bring sports betting to the state. But he feels no rush because the finer details of how it’s taxed, who regulates it and where its allowed all have to be answered.
Also swirling around the discussion is if more casinos are coming to Illinois and if horse racing tracks should have slot machine or not.
