JACKSON COUNTY — The League of Women Voters of Jackson County will host two candidate forums next week for judicial candidates and Jackson County Board candidates.
On Tuesday, Oct 16, at 7 p.m., eight judicial candidates are expected to join a forum at the SIU Law School Auditorium in Carbondale.
Voters in Jackson County will have to select among eight candidates for four judicial positions. Those in Union County will select among six candidates and those in Williamson County ten candidates. Organizers say that is a good reason to come to the candidate’s forum. More information is available at https://www.isba.org/judicialevaluations and click on “By County”.
Candidates for Jackson County Board will appear on Thursday, Oct 18, at 7 p.m., at the Davis-McCann Center on Walnut Street in Murphysboro. Use the 14th Street entrance.
