BENTON — Candidate petitions for the April 2019 Consolidated Election in Benton are now available during regular business hours in the Benton City Clerk’s office located inside City Hall on South Main in Benton.

According to City Clerk Brook Craig, the mayor and the entire city council is up for election next year.

Craig says Dec. 10 is the first day you can file for the election. There will be a 10-day filing period, and then the ballot will be set. Dec. 17 will be the last day those interested in running can turn in petitions.

The election will be held on April 2.
