SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — While the U.S. economy continues its strong growth, the country is facing a unique challenge never faced before. There are more jobs available than people to fill them.

Congressman Mike Bost says many of those jobs going unfilled are high-paying skilled labor positions.

Bost says many companies are also investing in the education of new workers to fill vacant positions.
