MARION COUNTY — A 20-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Marion County Court with multiple counts of burglary in connection with items reportedly stolen from vehicles in Centralia Sunday.

John Bounds, also known as John Cluck, was arrested after a man in the 400 block of North Maple reported his bicycle had been stolen.

With help from a neighbor, Centralia police were able to track down Bounds. They later connected him to the vehicle burglaries in which a wallet was taken from a vehicle in the 400 block of North Walnut and tools were taken from a truck in the 200 block of West Kerr.

At the time of his arrest Bounds was free on $1,000 bond in a case charging him earlier this month with possession of stolen property.

His bail in the latest case was also set at $10,000 and he was appointed a public defender.
