West Frankfort City Council set to discuss new police cars at tonight’s meeting

WEST FRANKFORT — Two new police cars could be in the West Frankfort Police Department’s future.

The West Frankfort City Council is expected to discuss and possibly act to purchase two new Dodge Chargers from Weeks Chevrolet for $46,414 when the council meets tonight at 6 at City Hall.

The council will also discuss with possible action setting the date and time for the Trail of Treats as well as the hours for trick or treating, LED lighting for the WPS lease at the West Frankfort Mall and approving an Elks Lodge fundraiser roadblock on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the intersection of Route 149 and Highway 37.
