The Fayette County Sheriff’s office, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Homeland Security, Secretary of State Police, Department of Corrections, Vandalia, Altamont, St. Elmo, and Farina police departments arrested two men over the weekend on multiple charges.

According to reports, 23-year-old John M. Durbin, of Beecher City, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and an outstanding IDOC warrant. Additional charges are pending.

Also arrested was 30-year-old Derick Castic, of St. Elmo, on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Rural Med provided support and Brownstown Fire provided a building for the law enforcement detail.

Castic and Drubin’s arrests come after Fayette County assisted Altamont PD and Homeland Security with multiple arrests last week.
