A 27-year-old Richview man pleaded guilty Thursday in Washington County Court to a string of charges stemming from a 2016 incident involving a pursuit with sheriff’s deputies.

Gregory A. Pocrnich Jr., was arrested after a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop, but Pocrnich instead rammed the deputy’s squad car and fled the scene.

Pocrnich ultimately jumped from the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. One passenger in the Pocrnich vehicle was taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of minor injuries and was released. The other passenger was treated at the scene and released.

A more than two-hour multi-agency manhunt for Pocrnich ultimately ended with him being found in an abandoned trailer in Richview.

He was originally charged with 10 different felony offenses, but of those charges five were amended to misdemeanors, and two others were dismissed.

Pocrnich was sentenced to 30 months probation on the remaining felony counts and a concurrent 24 months probation on the amended misdemeanors.

He was ordered to undergo evaluation before March 15 and to complete any recommended treatment before September 20.
