Records show a man charged with beating an Illinois Department of Children and Family Services investigator also allegedly punched a Carroll County deputy in the face.

Sauk Valley Media reports a probable cause affidavit filed last week shows 25-year-old Andrew Sucher hit a chief deputy in front of other uniformed officers. He’s charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, which carries up to seven years in prison. A hearing hasn’t been set.

Sucher is accused of beating a DCFS investigator in September as she was trying to take custody of a child. The investigator was seriously injured, with a skull fracture that left her in a coma. She’s been recovering in Chicago. Sucher has pleaded not guilty.

Separately, he’s pleaded not guilty to battery charges in Whiteside County.
