A 21-year-old Salem man has been arrested in connection with the residential burglary of his mother’s home on East Boone in Salem.

Salem police arrested Austin Arnold for allegedly going into his mother’s home and placing food outside a window.

When his mother returned home she reportedly witnessed what Arnold was doing and called police.

He reportedly left in his vehicle at the scene but was later located at his residence and taken to the Marion County Jail.
