A 16-year-old Centralia male has been arrested for alleged burglary, theft, and criminal damage in connection with a reported incident at a Centralia car lot on West Broadway.

According to reports, Centralia police arrested the teen after the owner of Whalen’s Auto Sales reported discovering the glass of a door to the store had been broken and keys to a customer’s car parked on the lot was gone.

The juvenile was taken into custody Thursday night after fleeing on foot from a traffic stop when a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy allegedly stopped him in the stolen vehicle.
