The Kaskaskia College faculty and staff helped make Christmas special for current KC students and their children.

Students with financial need and children under the age of 12 were identified and contacted to participate in the Secret Santa Program. Faculty and staff volunteers “adopted” and shopped for gifts for the children.

Each child received several gifts including clothing, toys, and activities. The students themselves also received a gift purchased from employee donations.

Several KC staff also came together to make hand-made fleece blankets for each child. Each blanket was personalized based on the interests of the child as described by the parent.

There were 27children of current KC students that each received a hand-made blanket and gifts for Christmas this year.
