  1. An Eldorado woman was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for violating a protection order, but the arrest also led to additional charges.

Saline County Chief Deputy Ken Clore says a sheriff’s deputy saw 30-year-old Molli J. Holcomb of Eldorado in the Kroger parking lot in Harrisburg. She was wanted for violating a protection order.

As the deputy placed Holcomb under arrest, she began to resist the deputy and struck him. Once Holcomb arrived at the Saline County Detention Center, she struck the deputy again.

Holcomb is charged with violation of an order of protection, resisting a peace officer and three counts of aggravated battery to a police officer. She remains in the Saline County Detention Center in Harrisburg.

  1. Thanks to a tip Thursday, Saline County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Harrisburg woman wanted on a warrant for violating the Violent Offender Against Youth Registration Act.

Saline County Chief Deputy Ken Clore says the tip led deputies to the location of 27-year-old Amber D. Brandt.

During a recent sex offender compliance check conducted by the sheriff’s office, officials learned that Brandt had not been living where she was registered. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
