The house’s new task force on sexual harassment and discrimination is gathering ideas on how to improve the climate at the state capitol.
The task force heard recommendations on what sexual harassment policies should cover. Melissa Josephs with the group “Women Employed”.
Sharmili Majmudar says there should also be no tolerance for retaliation and additional education.
Majmudar also stressed the need to keep detailed records on how many complaints are coming in, how they are dealt with, and the response time.
