Centralia police have arrested two men in connection with the October 16th, 2017 armed robbery of the Family Dollar store on North Elm in Centralia.

Jacquay Revels, 22, was arrested at his home in the 600 block of Wright Drive around 7:30 Wednesday morning.

While in custody at the Centralia Police Department, Revel was processed on the armed robbery charge and was being escorted to a squad car to be transported to Marion County Jail, when Revel broke loose from the officer’s grasp and ran north up the alley. 

Revel was apprehended after a brief foot chase and was taken to Marion County Jail for alleged armed robbery and escape.

On Monday, 21-year-old Cody Boughers, of Centralia, was also taken into custody reference the same armed robbery.

Boughers had been taken into custody on charges from another jurisdiction, but will face armed robbery charges in Marion County following his release.

According to incident reports, Centralia police responded 8:58 p.m. October 16, to the Family Dollar after receiving a report of two males, one armed with a handgun, having entered the store and robbed the cashier at gunpoint.  The two fled on foot.  No one was injured in that incident.
