4 Arrested in Farina on Meth Charges

A weekend search warrant in Farina resulted in the arrests of four people for alleged distribution of methamphetamine.

According to Fayette County State’s Attorney Josh Morrison, Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Farina police officers executed the search warrant just after midnight Saturday.

The search resulted in the arrests of 28-year-old Trent A. Parker, 26-year-old Cody C. Bushue, 24-year-old Kaitlin R. Mahon, all of Farina, and 30-year-old Eric E. Lloyd, of Centralia.

With the assistance of Fayette County K-9 “Tex,” a search of the home, believed to be Parker’s home, revealed between 15 and 100 grams of meth, an unlisted amount of a look-alike substance, and a firearm.

Morrison says the look-alike substance was being used to “cut” the meth for a larger yield. He’s awaiting lab results to determine if there was any actual drugs in the substance, which could lead to additional charges.

All four were charged Monday in Fayette County Court with Class 1 felony possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth, and Class 3 felony manufacture with the intent to distribute a look-alike substance. Parker was additionally charged with Class 3 felony being a felon in possession of a firearm.

All four remain in the Fayette County Jail with bail ranging from $35,000 for Mahon to $50,000 for Parker.
