One person was injured Thursday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 37 near Kinmundy.

According to Illinois State Police, around 8 a.m. a van driven by 47-year-old Anthony Finkbone, of Salem, was traveling southbound, while a car driven by 19-year-old Keely Smith, of Kinmundy, was traveling northbound behind a car driven by 47-year-old Mark Pearson, also of Kinmundy.

Finkbone’s van reportedly crossed the center line, struck the front of Pearson’s car and sideswiped Smith’s car.

Pearson was injured in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Salem Township Hospital in Salem.

Finkbone was cited for improper lane usage and no valid insurance.
