A single personal injury crash occurred just after 5 p.m. Monday on Interstate 57 around mile marker 107 in Marion County near the Jefferson County line resulted in one person being airlifted from the scene.

Officials say a fire truck driven by 60 year old Reuben B. Hubbard of Townsend, Georgia left the roadway after his right front tire blew and forced the vehicle into the trees.

Hubbard was taken to St. Louis University Hospital. Both lanes of the interstate were reopened around 7 p.m.
