DCFS Reminds of ABC’s of Safe Sleep

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is reminding parents about the A-B-C’s of safe sleep.

Sleep suffocation and SIDS are leading causes of death for children one year and younger. D-C-F-S spokesperson Jennifer Florent says babies should sleep alone, on their back, in a safe crib.

Florent advises against sleeping with your baby and says infants should never be put to sleep on an adult bed or couch.
