Jason Aldean resumed his They Don’t Know tour on Thursday (October 12th) in Tulsa, OK in the wake of the Las Vegas shootings which killed 58 and injured more than 500. Jason kicked off the show by talking to the crowd saying, “I want this not to be something that’s going to be a downer for the rest of the night. I want to play the show for you guys that the people in Las Vegas came to see and didn’t get a chance to.”
The superstar issued a sentiment of defiance in the face of terrorists in general saying, “They’re gonna try to continue to hold us down . . . make us live in fear and be scared. To those people I say: F**k you, we don’t really care.”
Jason was on stage at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Vegas on October 1st when the shots rang out. He was able to quickly get off stage unscathed, however he chose to cancel the following weekend’s shows out of respect to the victims.
The They Don’t Know tour continues on Thursday (October 19th) in Columbus, OH with special guest Chris Young.
