A Marion man has been charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and driving while license suspected for allegedly stabbing three people at a Marion sports bar Saturday night.

Marion Police say the stabbing happened around 11:40 p.m. at Heartland Sports Bar, located at 1802 Bittle Place.

Police say 37-year-old Billy C. Gressett stabbed a 39-year-old woman just above her right hip, a 32-year-old man on the left side of his rib cage and a 36-year-old man in his left upper leg. They were taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Others involved in the incident identified Gressett as the suspect. He was later arrested and charged.
