Centralia cab driver robbed at gunpoint

CENTRALIA — Centralia police are investigating a report of a local cab driver being robbed at gunpoint earlier this week.

According to CPD, they received a report at 12:37 a.m. Monday from an employee of Centralia Taxi that she had been dispatched to Allison Street. When she arrived at the location two black males walked up to her cab and one asked for change.

The man then reportedly displayed a weapon, took the keys to the cab and the driver’s purse that contained an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled the area.

A more detailed description of the supects was not provided. Police continue to investigate the report.
