MARION COUNTY — A 29-year-old Mt. Vernon man was sentenced today in Marion County Court to 3-years in prison after he pleaded guilty to one of two meth-related charges against him.

Judson R. Connaway pleaded guilty to a Class 2 felony charge of possessing methamphetamine manufacturing material, in exchange for a Class 2 felony charge of possessing less than 15 grams of meth precursors being dismissed.

In addition to the three year prison sentence, Connaway will have to serve two years mandatory supervised released at the end of his prison term.

Connaway is already serving a two-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a Jefferson County conviction for witness tampering. The two sentences will be served concurrently.
