The Benton City Council approved an agreement with Futiva to provide fiber Internet and other communications services to residents during Monday’s night’s City Council meeting.

According to City Clerk Brook Craig, it’s unknown as to when Futiva will begin installing services, but it should be sometime in the near future pending some changes to the wording of the agreement. To learn more about Futiva, go to futiva.biz.

The council also approved closing the Benton Square from 4 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 for the Fall Festival. Anyone interested in being a part of this year’s festival should contact Public Information Officer Rachel Gartner at City Hall.
