JEFFERSON COUNTY — An upcoming lane reduction on Interstate 57 in Jefferson County could impact travel beginning Tuesday.

The Illinois Department of Transportation will reduce traffic to one-lane in both directions at the bridge over Dodds Creek at milepost 89.2.

Work is expected to last until November, weather permitting. There will be a lane with restriction to 14’9″. Motorists should reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers, and use extreme caution when traveling through this area.
