NASHVILLE — The recycling truck in Washington County has announced changes to the plastics it can recycle.

The only plastics eligible for recycling are those labeled with the numbers 1 and 2. Plastics with numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 as well as plastic bags are no longer eligible. You are asked to check the number on your plastic item before taking them to the truck. The number can be found within the triangle on the bottom of the item.
