(MT. VERNON, IL) –The man charged in connection with the vehicular collision that killed a Mt. Vernon teen may receive a bond reduction.  Joe Cervantez, the defense attorney for 25 year old Cole Stevens of Energy plans to seek the reduction of Stevens’ $250,000 bond. Stevens faces a pair of felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence as well as a misdemeanor count.  The June 11th collision on Interstate 57 claimed the life of 18 year old Emma Caserotti and injured her passenger 18 year old Tristen Sharp.  A bond hearing and arraignment for Stevens will now be held August 1st at 1:30 p.m. Until that time, Stevens is being held at the Jefferson County Justice Center on a $250,000 bond.
